Peas, Cascadia Sugar Snap
Cascadia Sugar Snap can be picked early for snow peas or after the pods have matured for snap peas. With vines up to 3 feet, this fiberless, 3 inch sweet pod has good yields and multiple disease resistance. Snap peas are great fresh or frozen but not for canning.
Sow in full sun in spring and late summer. Peas will tolerate some frost and are very sensitive to heat. Plant 1 seed every 2 inches. Do not thin. Plants perform best when supported by a trellis. Harvest when pods are filled out to encourage production.
